Descrizione:
The route starts from the sports hall of Ciconia, reached Castel Peccio, a fortified settlement located on a hill overlooking a bend of the Chiani river, you can admire the remarkable remains of the castle which seems to have belonged to a certain Simone of Castel Peccio as it is mentioned in the Orvieto chronicles of the 1400s. From the ruin we can identify base walls, a tower, some rooms, large windows and traces of what must have been a courtyard. Continuing downhill, cross the Morano bridge and along the Chiani river you will reach the Svolta locality to close the path at the starting point in Ciconia.
Once you have reached the highest part of the route, you can wander around with a 360 ° view of fantastic landscapes.
